In the beginning..

Freally launched in May 2010 by two software nerds, Eric Bae and Xiangwei Meng, with a motive of becoming the #1 online community for recycling. It grew out of frustration of the existing options, which were outdated and difficult to use.

Freally is about people..

We think by doing our bit for the environment, we are ultimately doing our best for ourselves and others. It really is a big 'circle-of-life'.

43.8 million tonnes of rubbish in Australia alone!

And to think that we are part of that figure, drives us to be more aware of our environment and our consumption. Do we really need to buy those things? Do we really need that right now?
